Creating Shared Values
27th Jan 2019. On a chilly morning of 1st Feb 2019 at 9 A.M, 15 employees of HP Inc. assembled at premises of a Municipal Corporation School in Ashok Vihar part of North Delhi . They spent the entire first half engaging in various activities with primary grade children & teaching staff. For many of them, this was first time they were entering a government school and it was a humbling experience to be a child once again. All of them were keen to give back to society for what it has done for them. SARD, a pan India NGO and one of the CSR partners of HP, also organized few activities . A series of activities were planned in which employees engaged with children such as Yoga Sessions, first aid demonstration, wall paintings and campus beautification. Many of the employees conducted some fun events such as paper plane making competitions, jumbled words on the blackboards and cartoon character sketching in which children participated with a lot of enthusiasm. HP realizes that Volunteering is not about just spending time at the field but to also contribute something that can benefit the people from a long-term perspective as well, HP donated a Digital Smartclass to school which is a unique solution in which the entire class is powered instantly using just a single switch & it comes with height adjustable e-podium with inbuilt speakers. This was inaugurated in presence of Ms. Ritu Goel, chairman, NDMC edu. committee, Ms. Nimal, NDMC add. director of education.
