Creating Shared Values
12th Jun 2019. As Paulo Freire has said ,"The teacher is of course an artist, but being an artist does not mean that he or she can make the profile, can shape the students. What the educator does in teaching is to make it possible for the students to become themselves". Considering the same, HP in partnership with Jubilant Bhartia Foundation organized 2 week long Summer Camp in G.P.S Gaughat from 17th June till 28th June. The objective of the camp was to appreciate the individuality of each child. Hence, a wide array of activities such as singing, dancing, drawing, handwriting, movies, rhymes, games and art and craft were organized for the kids. 20 volunteers from HP Pantnagar Plant took special care in providing EDUTAINMENT ( Education with Entertainment) to kids. Prizes were awarded to the kids for each activity with an intention of appreciating them for being amazing in their own way. Theme based special school kits were gifted to the kids which became the biggest motivation for them to attend school regularly.On the last day a counselling session was organized for the parents which started with an ice breaking activity followed by an important message to the students as well as their parents that education is not only important for getting a job but it helps in better understanding of the self and society. The Camp ended with great reviews from the parents and kids and the volunteers.
