ACC Ayushmaan Trust

In year 2007, responding to the need of the hour, ACC management had decided to step forward and contribute towards the National effort to fight scourge of HIV/AIDS in the country.

In this regard the Company consulted the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and established ACC Ayushmaan Trust to spearhead the initiative.

Subsequently a MoU was signed with National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) to set up an Anti Retroviral Treatment (ART) and Voluntary Counseling Centre at ACC Wadi Cement Manufacturing Unit that is world’s largest of its kind in the World. With this, ACC became the first private sector company in India to commission an ART centre. The Wadi cen¬tre is part of NACO’s 453 ART centre network across the nation which acts as the first line of defense in prevention of the HIV epi¬demic. The facility provides outreach and treatment to Persons Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA).

Later on with the decline in the disease affected cases, to increase its reach, ACC Ayushmaan Trust broadened its byelaws to include other health and developmental activities.

Today the comprehensive package of ser¬vices by ACC Ayushmaan Trust includes the following:

ARVIND FOUNDATION

Arvind Foundation is the CSR arm of Arvind Ltd. The Arvind Foundation was set up as an umbrella organization to further strengthen and expand the ongoing societal development initiatives and undertake new ones.

Arvind has a long tradition of reaching out to society through planned interventions. The value system underlying this firm belief is that healthy businesses flourish only in a healthy society and to ensure this, business leaders must positively impact society. This philosophy is imbued through Arvind’s CSR initiatives.

Arvind Foundation aims to have a positive impact on the quality of life of underprivileged people through social, economic, educational, infrastructural, environmental, health, and cultural initiatives. These are achieved through meaningful partnerships.

BYRRAJU FOUNDATION

Byrraju Foundation was set up in July 2001 in memory of late Byrraju Satyanarayana Raju, an agriculturist, businessman, and philanthropist who believed in transforming villages for a better India. His three sons set up Byrraju Foundation in his memory a week after his demise on June 27, 2001.

The foundation touched 50 villages within a few months of its formation. BRF rapidly expanded its operation to cover 200 villages, running 40 diverse programs, touching all aspects of rural life. Their story spans over 20 years transforming more than 2 million lives in 200 villages in Andhra Pradesh, India.

Byrraju Foundation is creating one of the largest and most dynamic technology-driven platforms “Rural IDEA” (IDEA - Integrated Digital Enterprise Architecture) using ICT, which has the potential to transform all of India's 6,00,000 villages. All stakeholders can be connected through this platform to create synergistic value and scale.

Dalmia Bharat Foundation

Dalmia Bharat Foundation, DBF, is a registered not-for profit organization set up under the Income Tax Act, 1961.The Foundation was set up in 2009 to expand the programmes and projects of the Dalmia Bharat Group’s CSR division. With this independent entity, we re-affirm our determination to be an aware and effective corporate citizen. We believe in the limitless potential of the human being and focus on community driven, beneficiary centric development programmes.


DBF is the natural evolution of corporate social partnership beyond CSR compliance. It is our conviction, that progress and sustainable development depend greatly on partnerships and shared values. Our programs combine in-depth long-term plans and strategies along with medium and short term initiatives and campaigns. Owing to the great differences across our locations, we adopt a flexible, multi-intervention approach that allows programs and people to grow together and sustain each other. The DBF footprint The geographical footprint of our Foundation is spread across 15 districts across 11 states and reach out to over 6 Lac people in 476 villages. In the Southern region we work in 4 locations across 3 states, Ariyalur and Dalmiapuram in Tamil Nadu, Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh and Belgaum in Karnataka. In the North-East, our programme locations are Lanka and Umrongso in Assam and Lumshnong in Meghalaya. In the North, we operate in 3 locations in Uttar Pradesh, Ramgarh, Jawaharpur and Nigohi and 1 location Chirawa in Rajasthan. In the East, we have initiatives in 5 locations in 3 states, Rajgangpur, Lanjiberna and Cuttack in Odisha; Medinipur in West Bengal and Bokaro in Jharkhand. In the West, our nascent initiatives are present in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.

Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India

The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), an autonomous body and not-for-profit institution, set up in 1983, is sponsored by apex financial institutions, namely the IDBI Bank Ltd, IFCI Ltd, ICICI Ltd and State Bank of India (SBI). The Institute is registered under the Societies registration Act 1860 and the Public Trust Act 1950. The Government of Gujarat pledged twenty three acres of land on which stands the majestic and sprawling EDII campus. Recognition from UN-ESCAP, Bangkok The EDII has been selected as a member of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) network of Centres of Excellence for HRD Research and Training.

Extramarks Education Foundation

EEF is a not-for-profit organization which is committed towards achieving equity in education.

It aims to remove the gap in provision of quality education, especially to institutions teaching the socially marginalized children.

At the forefront of the foundation is a passionate, devoted and experienced leadership, supported by the finest educators and change-makers.

EEF researches into best global teaching and learning practices, which it then implements as digital solutions in Indian schools.

Mission: To provide equity in education by transforming schools into digitised learning centres and empowering teachers and students with teaching-learning digital tools.

FFE

FFE India Trust is is a Public Charitable Trust in Bengaluru, Karnataka, registered in 2003. It is also registered under u/s 12A(a) of the IT Act, 1961, and under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation Act), 1976

The mission of FFE is to provide scholarships to exceptionally bright students who have financial constraints, enabling them to achieve professional success as Engineers and Doctors.

FFE funds talented students and help them pursue sought-after courses in India. Their exceptional academic performance has helped them gain admission to the most reputed Engineering & Medical colleges in India. They have proved to be role models in the community, inspiring others to pursue this path.

Jubilant Bhartia Foundation

Jubilant Bhartia Foundation is a not for profit organization established in 2007 by Jubilant Bhartia Group. The foundation provides consultation to Jubilant as well as other companies in implementation of their CSR programmes as per CSR mandate of Indian Companies Act, 2013.

The activities of JBF are driven towards channelizing resources for bringing measurable social change in the society with a vision and mission as under.

Nalanda Foundation

Nalanda Foundation was established in 2006. The foundation works with stakeholders of the education ecosystem viz. schools, learning institutions, pedagogy experts, students, teachers and parents to create and implement frameworks of effective learning and innovation for young minds.

NASSCOM FOUNDATION

Established in 2001, NASSCOM Foundation is a leading industry & trade body for the IT industry, working with the government, corporates, and the civil society to enable disadvantaged lives through the transformative power of technology. In over a decade of its existence, they have touched more than one million lives through their programs in digital literacy, skills for livelihood, empowering women entrepreneurs, supporting persons with disabilities, enabling non-profits with technology, and engaging in volunteerism.

NIIT FOUNDATION

NIIT Foundation (NF) is a not-for-profit education society set up by the promoters of NIIT in 2004. Its mission is to positively impact the underprivileged of the country through educational initiatives and employability skill development programs. To achieve this, NF runs various grassroots initiatives in partnership with other corporates and corporate foundations. NF set up and operates skill development centers in urban and rural areas that offer placement support to all eligible students. NF provides digital and financial literacy programs and also implements Hole-in-the-Wall Learning Stations to bridge the digital divide.

In addition, NF supports other NGOs to build their capacity. NF has been delivering projects ranging from customized CSR solutions as per partner requirements, school programs, college collaborations, community initiatives, and digital empowerment, which are mandated as per section 135 of the companies act 2013. The projects reach out to a wide range of beneficiaries from the age group of 6 to 60 years old. The skilling and education engagement models are targeted towards underprivileged and underserved youth/children, women, specially- abled/ PWDs, LGBTQIA+ community across 28 states and 6 union territories.

Prashanthi Balamandira Trust

Prashanthi Balamandira Trust is a public charitable trust established in 1981 in Karnataka state and seeks to impart value-based integral education to rural poor children at absolutely no cost, without any discrimination of caste, creed, race, religion, gender or geography and to help them grow into ideal world citizens with brilliant intellect, compassionate heart and competent hands. The trust draws its inspiration from the divine teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba who taught that “Education is for Life and not for mere living. The trust is currently working on establishing educational institutions all across Karnataka and eventually across India.

Pratham InfoTech Foundation

Pratham InfoTech Foundation (PIF) is a non-profit organization that works in India to bridge the digital divide, facilitate the adoption of information technologies (IT) in education, and equip disadvantaged youths with skills, tools and capabilities that the new global economy demands. Born in 2004, PIF runs IT based training, educational and community capacity building programs in underserved schools and communities. Pratham InfoTech Foundation is committed to ensuring “e-education for all” and is engaged in five major programs to achieve its mission, namely:

SARD

SARD is a leading civil society registered way back in 1996 working mainly on improving access to quality education, reproductive child health, WASH and nutrition including promotion of sustainable livelihood options for the most marginalized. SARD is a pan India organization and working in 9 states of India through its 13 field offices. SARD has been able to mobilize support from many multilateral and bilateral organizations, leading corporates and individuals over its journey. We believe in strengthening the mainstream systems and processes by working closely with the Government and do not believe in creating a parallel system.

SAYTREES

ONE TEAM, ONE MISSION. PLANT TREES.

Bangalore, which was once known for its lovely landscape was losing its green cover. Urbanization and growth meant that a lot of trees had to be cut down. SayTrees is a professional group devoted to protecting the environment and educating the citizens about the importance of conservation.

SayTrees is actively engaged in a variety of actions involving research, education, campaigns and advocate the importance of planting trees. The group is supported by thousands of volunteers, right from young children to retired citizens. Today, SayTrees organizes tree plantations and drive various initiatives across several Indian cities. We pro-actively engage in identifying areas for planting trees, keeping in mind the natural biodiversity of the local area. We ensure that the trees we plant, not only help local communities, but also provide fruits and flowers for future generations.

SRF Foundation

SRF Foundation formally known as the “Society for Education and Welfare”, was set up as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of SRF Limited in 1982. It started by setting up The Sri Ram Schools (TSRS) in Delhi and Gurgaon and academically supporting SRF Vidyalaya at Manali in Chennai under the vision of Padma Shri Late Mrs. Manju Bharat Ram. The Foundation builds on the heritage of its founders, Late Sir Shri Ram and Late Dr. Bharat Ram, who were instrumental in the establishment of institutions such as Lady Shri Ram College, Shri Ram College of Commerce, The Shri Ram Research Institute, The Anglo Sanskrit School and many others.


Since the inception of the Foundation, its interventions have only expanded. At present, it is actively involved with society at the grassroots level with an array of programmes focused on school education and skill development across six states of Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The Foundation is registered under the Societies Registration Act (XXI of 1860) with a vision of, “Achieving quality education and training that inspires children and youth from all sections of the society to achieve individual aspirations and building a better society for tomorrow, through the knowledge, skills and values acquired.”


In line with its legacy of providing high quality education, SRF Foundation‘s interventions include creating centres of excellence for learning through the transformation of Government schools into Model Schools. Its flagship institutes and initiatives are The Shri Ram Schools (TSRS), Enhancing Early Education Programme (3EP), Rural Education Program (REP), Rural Vocational Skills Program (RVP) and Shri Sambandh – an academic outreach program.

Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development

The Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development (TCSRD) was established by Tata Chemicals Limited (TCL) in 1980 to fulfill the social responsibilities of TCL to communities neighboring the company’s manufacturing plant in Mithapur (Gujarat). TCSRD later extended its operations to Babrala (Uttar Pradesh), Haldia (West Bengal), Sriperumbudur (Tamil Nadu) and other locations to reach out to marginalized sections of the society. It works to address key concerns of communities and to preserve the environment and bio-diversity.

TCSRD works for promotion of rural handicraft; alleviation of poverty; development of education and skills; conservation of the environment and bio-diversity; provision of water, nutrition and sanitation; and empowerment of communities.

YUVA UNSTOPPABLE

Yuva Unstoppable is a registered trust in India & the US that has benefited over 1000,000 underprivileged children across 40 cities of India. Yuva works with 100 top corporates like HDFC Bank, 3M, Korn Ferry, Disney, Goldman Sachs, Vedanta, Coke, IBM, Google, Hexaware, Adani, UNICEF, United Way, and others.

Yuva has transformed 2000 government schools by creating better toilets, providing improved drinking water and dishwashing areas. Yuva provides scholarships for digital literacy and value-based training. In Jan 2020, the London School of Economics (LSE) found 4 times improvement in learning outcomes across all subjects in schools where Yuva intervenes. Yuva’s vision is to impact 10,000 schools and 5 million kids in the next 5 years.

In 2015, Yuva received Prince’s Prize for Innovative Philanthropy by Prince Albert II of Monaco where Jack Ma was one of the finalists. In 2017, Yuva was awarded the IBM Impact grant. Prime minister Narendra Modi supports our effort. APJ Abdul Kalam was one of our supporters as well. We have Bollywood stars, cricketers, authors, and businessmen participating in our initiatives to motivate others.
